Suresh Raina has made highest number of runs (4985) in the IPL tournaments till date while Lasith Malinga has taken highest wickets (147) in the IPL history.

CSK is the only team which lost the most finals (4) of the IPL followed by the RCB which lost 3 finals and still could not win this tournament.

Till date, 11 seasons of IPL have been conducted successfully. The first season of IPL was won by the Rajasthan Royals.

Altogether, 13 teams have played in the past 11 seasons of the IPL tournament. Of these, 3 teams are no longer a part of IPL. In 2k11, BCCI terminated the franchise of Kochi Tuskers Kerala for contractual breach. Similarly, BCCI terminated the franchise of Deccan Chargers in 2k12 for backing off from its commitments. In 2k13, Pune Warriors India exited IPL after it had a franchise valuation disagreement with BCCI. CSK and Rajasthan Royals were suspended in 2k15 following a betting controversy. However, in July 20k17, BCCI announced that both Chennai Super Kings and RR would be allowed back into the IPL competition from the 2k18 season. IPL featured eight teams for the 2018 season, including Delhi capitals, Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Mumbai Indians.
